Preparation: what you need

Gather a few items you probably already have at home. Before starting, remove Puffy’s outfit and set garments aside to clean according to their care label.

  Warm water and a mild soap or gentle hand wash liquid.

  Baking soda (for odors) and a soft-bristle brush.

  Vacuum with brush attachment or a handheld dust brush.

  Handheld steamer or an iron with steam function (optional — use with care).

Quick routine (when you get home)

This is the express ritual to do in 5–10 minutes: handy after a trip to the park, a coffee, or public transit.

1. Air out. Place Puffy in a well-ventilated, shaded spot for 10–20 minutes. Fresh air helps dissipate odors and light dampness.
2. Brush and vacuum. Use a soft brush or the vacuum’s brush nozzle on low power to remove dust and sand.
3. Spot-clean with a cloth. Dampen the cloth with warm water and a few drops of soap. Gently dab dirty areas, working from the edge toward the center. Avoid soaking.
4. Air dry. Let it dry in a natural position (not in direct sun). If damp, blot with an absorbent cloth and air out again.
5. Quick deodorize. Sprinkle a light layer of baking soda over the affected area, leave 15–30 minutes, then brush or vacuum it away.

How to treat spot stains

Acting quickly increases the chances of removing a stain without a deep wash. Always test in a small, hidden area first.

Food or drink stain

Remove dry bits with a spoon. Dampen the cloth with warm water and soap, and gently dab from the outside toward the center. Avoid vigorous rubbing.

Mud or dirt

Let mud dry, then brush gently. Vacuum afterward and, if a mark remains, slightly dampen and repeat brushing.

Greasy stains

Sprinkle baking soda over the spot, leave 30–60 minutes to absorb, then brush. If it remains, clean with a barely damp soapy cloth and dry quickly.

Note: avoid bleach, pure alcohol, or strong stain removers without testing first. If you’re unsure, contact us for guidance.

Steam and gentle disinfection

Steam is a good option to freshen and reduce surface microbes without soaking the plush, but it requires care.

  Distance and motion: hold the steamer 20–30 cm away and keep it moving. Do not soak the plush.

  Test first: steam a small area and check color and texture after drying.

  Dry afterward: let it air dry; if you feel dampness, blot with an absorbent cloth.

If your Puffy has electronic parts or a music compartment, do not use direct steam or liquids: remove electronics before any cleaning.

Routine care at home

To keep your Puffy soft and smelling nice between deeper cleans:

  Weekly vacuum: 1–2 minutes with a soft brush keeps the fur tidy and prevents dust build-up.
